This course aims at preparing students to have solid fundamentals of Python and Statistics with a special emphasis on Story telling. Once you grasp the concepts of Pandas and Numpy, you will start mastering Data Visualization Techniques with Tableau, Matplotlib and Seaborn.
Project 1 - Movies Dataset
The course starts with a Story telling project around a simple movies dataset. You will be guided in discovering the different concepts of Data Analytics and learn how to use different kind of charts to create impactful Data Visualizations using Tableau (a very popular and powerful visualization software).
Project 2 - Winery
Starting with a refresher on Statistics and what may be your first coding experience. You will be tackling the coding logic fundamentals using the Python programming language. Making uses of loops and conditional statements, you will be able to solve various tasks through code with the use of libraries like Pandas and Numpy.
This knowledge will help you bring an analytics solution to determining the quality of Portuguese wines produced based on their composition. It will guide you to prepare the data to be fitted to a Machine Learning algorithm, analyze the data taking into consideration the business questions and present your findings.
Project 3 - Bike Share
This project focuses on Data Wrangling, Exploratory Data Analysis, Time Series and Linear Regression.
You will have to analyze a dataset from a company called Capital Bike Share in order to forecast the bike demand. You will create models to forecast the amount of bikes used in order to improve the company's service.
Daily Life
We use a project-based approach to learning, in which you will be assigned projects with a minimum viable product to be presented at the end. We follow the Agile Scrum Methodology, which is a project management system used very commonly in the tech industry.

You will have lessons in the form of “spikes”, live practical demonstrations by your mentors, of technologies and concepts that you will be required to include in your projects

Learn by doing
You are given time to work independently, and you are also encouraged to spend time improving your research skills by conducting independent research. Mentor support is available throughout the day, you can book 30 minute appointments as often as you need!

We finish our day with a check-out meeting to discuss your progress for the day, whether you achieved your goals, and any blocks you are experiencing
