Front-End Web Development
This module focuses on the fundamentals of Front-End Web Development. Code Academy Berlin utilize a project-based learning style to teach you the necessary tools to create responsive, interactive websites and Progressive Web Applications (PWA).
Project 1
You will use HTML and CSS to create and style pages following your own design mockups, which you can then deploy to the World Wide Web.
Project 2
You will add JavaScript to your arsenal of tools to add interactivity to static HTML and CSS pages. You will also learn to fetch external data from an API (Application Programming Interface).
Project 3
You will learn to use the powerful JavaScript framework React to build a Single Page Application (SPA). Firebase will provide User Authentication and a Database for you to store information.
Daily Life
We use a project-based approach to learning, in which you will be assigned projects with a minimum viable product to be presented at the end. We follow the Agile Scrum Methodology, which is a project management system used very commonly in the tech industry.

Stand up meeting
We start our day with a stand-up meeting where each student will set goals for the day

Lesson
You will have lessons in the form of “spikes”, live practical demonstrations by your mentors, of technologies and concepts that you will be required to include in your projects

Learn by doing
You are given time to work independently, and you are also encouraged to spend time improving your research skills by conducting independent research. Mentor support is available throughout the day, you can book 30 minute appointments as often as you need!

We finish our day with a check-out meeting to discuss your progress for the day, whether you achieved your goals, and any blocks you are experiencing
